Neck pain or neck stiffness is a common problem and there is nothing to worry about in general.

Pain and stiffness usually improve after a few days and are no sign of a more serious underlying condition or condition.

You can have painful pain or stiffness in the neck if you sleep in an uncomfortable position, use your computer keyboard for a long period of time, or even sit in the face of an air stream.

Stress and anxiety can sometimes cause stiffness in the neck muscles, which can lead to neck pain.
However, there is often no obvious cause for neck pain and doctors will refer to it as ‘undetermined’.

Neck pain treatment at home.

Whatever the cause of the pain or stiffness of the neck, the advice, in general, is the same. Continue your normal daily activities. Stay active and take painkillers to relieve the symptoms. See below for some more specific tips.

Take regular doses of paracetamol, ibuprofen, or a combination of both. To control the pain, the ibuprofen generation can be rubbed on your neck as an alternative to taking tablets. Always follow the dose instructions that come with the medicine.

Try placing a bottle of hot water or heat on your neck. This can help reduce pain and muscle spasm.

Sleep on a low hard pillow at night. Avoid using two pillows as this may force your neck to bend abnormally.

Check your situation. Poor posture can aggravate pain and may cause it in the first place. Avoid wearing a neck collar.  There is no evidence to suggest that wearing a neck collar will help to heal your neck. And it is best to keep your neck moving.

Avoid driving until pain and perspiration are gone. It may prevent you from managing your head to see traffic.

If your neck is stiff or twisted, try some simple neck exercises. Gently tighten your neck muscles as you tilt your head up and down and side to side. And carefully tie your neck from left to right. These exercises will help strengthen your neck muscles and improve your range of movement.

When should you see your doctor?neck pain

Check with your doctor if pain or depression does not improve after a few days and you are worried, or if you can not control your pain using regular painkillers.

Your doctor will examine your neck and ask questions to help eliminate any serious damage or condition. It may also prescribe a stronger pain home, such as codeine, to treat it with over-the-counter pain relievers.

If you have neck pain or stiffness for a few weeks, ask your doctor to refer you to a physiotherapist. There is no scientific evidence that manual therapy or acupuncture is an effective treatment for neck or neck pain.

The twisted or twisted neck.
